Joanna Harrison
Solicitor and collaborative lawyer
Joanna deals with all issues arising on relationship breakdown for both married and unmarried clients including divorce, finances and arrangements for children. She also advises on pre-nuptial agreements. She takes a constructive but sensitive approach to the legal resolution of issues between couples, and she is trained as a collaborative lawyer.
She is an active member of Resolution and is the current chair of the Resolution Skills and Support Working Party which promotes and organises training for solicitors in non-legal but essential skills.
She is also a qualified couple and marital therapist, having trained at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships. This gives her an unusual combination of skills and a sensitivity to the difficulties individuals and couples face when separating or divorcing.
Joanna trained at Withers and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. She completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction and won a prize for family law and she has a first class degree in Classics from Oxford University. Joanna speaks basic French.
