Ischtar has a BA/MA (Staatsexamen) in German and English from the University of Berlin, and an MA in Islamic Family Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Ischtar completed her practical Legal Training in 2005 at BPP Law School.
Prior to joining Dawson Cornwell in September 2005, Ischtar worked as a freelance reporter for the Berliner Zeitung in Berlin, an analyst at CNN/SI in New York and a Case Work Supervisor for Reunite; International Child Abduction Centre in London.
Ischtar is a member of the British-German Jurists Association, the British-German Association (BGA) and the Association of German Speaking Lawyers.
Ischtar’s mother tongue is German. She speaks fluent English, intermediate French and has a working knowledge of Arabic.
